ABSTRACT
In the last chapter the focus was on the psychology of the individual, yet it was recognized that personal identity had to be considered within a social context. In this chapter the intention is to explore the social world of adolescents, in terms of their relationships and in the ambiguity about the status of adolescents in our society.
