ABSTRACT
The regulatory systems which I am seeking to understand, while incorporating ‘the law’, include rules which have not been derived from legal statutes or been codified according to the steely logic of the law. Nevertheless, because conventionally we think about the application of the official rules in legal terms, the full range of rules needs to be considered within a legal framework.
