ABSTRACT
So far, I have provided a broad-brush description of the official rules that govern a public education system. In toto, this body of rules is extensive, multi-layered and covers many areas of content. In this chapter, I explain how people organize subsets of ‘the multitude of official rules around topics of interest to them in order to make them more accessible and useful. I refer to these groupings of official rules as rule regimes.
