ABSTRACT

We are conscious that much of our exploration of perspectives and techniques in researching education has viewed the theatre from the outside. In so doing, there is one particular perspective on researching education that has not been as explicitly explored as would seem ideal. We believe that the relationship between the teacher and educational research needs exploring, because there ought to be a greater fusion between the two, if both teaching and researching are to achieve a more meaningful purpose. In and through that exploration, we want to bring together some of the points that we have made in the course of this book, which relate to educational research and the teacher, and without mention of which, our work would be incomplete.
