ABSTRACT
Partners, is an economic and cultural connector. The axis leads to Almere Pampus, a neighbourhood overlooking the lake where 20,000 units of experimental housing are envisaged; Almere Centre, an extended city centre surrounding the central lake, and Oosterwold to the east, where a more rural and organic form of urbanism is envisaged, and which will in the future be extended to link up with Utrecht. Investment in infrastructure, public transport and Almere’s adjoining green belt including its long coastline will help to connect the city more closely with its surroundings.
