ABSTRACT
The teaching and learning of music have been generally clothed in a mystique, generating the notion that music is best left for expert musicians to perform, understand and appreciate. However, this chapter aims to show that, once the aura has been removed, music making in the junior years can be as enjoyable and exhilarating for all pupils and teachers as it was during the infant years.
