ABSTRACT
Personal and social education (PSE) are collectively one of the six skills included in the Programme of Study of the National Curriculum. The National Curriculum Council (NCC) is one of three statutory bodies set up under the Education Reform Act (DES, 1988), the others being the Curriculum Council for Wales (CCW) and the Schools Examinations and Assessment Council (SEAC). As from October, 1993, the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority (SCAA) replaces these.
