ABSTRACT
Leaders of schools need to ensure that things run efficiently and effectively. There is not much point in having everyone united behind a vision, with a clear agreement and understanding of purpose, if the organization of the school is a shambles. There is enough evidence to suggest that headteachers who are effective visionaries are either those who are good at organizing things themselves or those who ensure that someone else with good organizational skills manages the process.
