ABSTRACT

Once e-tivities are designed and built into a programme, the key issue is the cost of arranging appropriate e-moderator support. Therefore it is important to know as soon as possible how many participants are likely to arrive and when. Clearly, the amount, availability and skill of support from people other than the e-moderator, such as those providing technical help, or online social hosts and mentors, will strongly affect the efficiency of the e-moderator’s time.
