ABSTRACT
We now have the ingredients for a citizenship curriculum linked with schemes of work and lesson plans. The emphasis throughout this book is upon active citizenship developed through ALC.
The QCA have, with help from practising teachers, devised some flexible schemes of work in KS3 to help teachers develop their own curriculum around their citizenship objective (see Figure 14.5 on page 150). These are illustrative, not mandatory, and are intended to stimulate thinking and action rather than slavish replication.
