ABSTRACT

As anyone who is cognizant of trends in higher education is well aware, institutions around the globe are utilizing technology for educational purposes with increasing frequency. This is certainly the case in the United States, where more and more colleges and universities are adding technological components to their curricula. The extent to which this is happening and the rapidity with which these changes are occurring vary widely from institution to institution; to date, relatively few have made information technology a ubiquitous part of campus life. The University of Minnesota at Crookston, Wake Forest University in North Carolina and Seton Hall University in New Jersey are among those institutions that have undertaken the maximal infusion of information technology into the curriculum. One such institution is Clayton College and State University (CCSU), and this chapter will elucidate some of the outcomes of this total immersion into information technology for educational purposes.
