Introducing instructional technologies into the classroom: the ‘Möbius metaphor’

This chapter discusses the methodologies through which a new university with a focus on distance learning has introduced ICT-based teaching to both students and faculty. Both groups may be many thousands of kilometres from the institution. The authors utilize the metaphor of the Möbius strip to illustrate their ‘seamless’ approach which places great emphasis on reflection with peer analysis and support.
