INTRODUCTION

Performance management, in simple terms, is about how to maximise the contribution of individual teachers to the school’s overall plans to raise achievement. This will be an ongoing process and it is an integral part of how successful the school is. In fact, performance management is a key factor in making sure that the headteacher and all teachers are involved in a process of continuing professional development.
