ABSTRACT
With modern developments in desktop publishing, coupled to the ready availability of photocopiers and offset litho printing, the use of handout materials has escalated dramatically. There is still, however, the danger that handout material is simply filed away and not used for active learning. Some ways round this are suggested below.
