ABSTRACT

It is an explicit aim of most courses in geography to employ a variety of modes of assessment in coursework and exams. Lecturers can be pretty inventive people, so there is no real limit to the types of presentation that you might be asked to do. The most common types of coursework presentation that are required in addition to essays, posters and talks include:

• web pages; • other computer-based presentations (e.g. PowerPoint); • abstracts; • professional reports; • newspaper articles; • press releases.
