ABSTRACT
Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is a new analytical technique. Because much of the instrumentation is based on chromatographic equipment, a very comprehensive kit has become available in a very short time, providing chromatogram-like output of needle-shaped peaks with an apparently amazing sensitivity. This chapter aims to provide an insight into how and why it works and to indicate its usefulness in bioanalysis.
