Women, Education and Class: The Relationship Between Class Background and Research

This paper examines the influence of a working-class background on my early life, education, employment and subsequent return to learning as a mature student. This is then linked with my doctoral research on the experiences of mature women returners to further and higher education, using the women’s own words to tell their stories.
