ABSTRACT

Heinrich W.Ahlemeyer is a sociologist and head of the Institute for Systemic Social Research (ISYS), a non-profit research organization at Münster, Germany. He has done research in areas such as organization, prevention and the sociology of sexuality. His study of the communicative properties of social movements, Soziale Bewegungen als Kommunikationssystem, was published in 1995. A qualitative analysis of the interaction between sex workers and their clients appeared in 1996: Prostitutive Intimkommunikation Zur Mikrosoziologie Heterosexueller Prostitution. For his research in the field of intimate communication, he received the Kybernetes 25th Anniversary Award for the most outstanding paper of the Xth International Congress of Systems and Cybernetics at Bucharest, Romania, in August 1996.
