ABSTRACT
Men give more to the societies they inhabit than the children they sire. Whereas women reproduce life by giving birth to and nurturing children, men produce the world by promoting certain social standards that reflect the way they want the world to be. They reproduce a social order by cherishing certain values, a behavior classified as standard bearing. Men want to make their worlds better. Without this activity a social system decays, crumbles, or dies.
