ABSTRACT
As noted in the previous chapter, the object of a functional capacity evaluation is to determine whether a job applicant is able to do the essential duties of a job, and the end result is a recommendation on his/her unrestricted acceptance, acceptance with restrictions, acceptance with accommodations, or acceptance with accommodations and restrictions.
