ABSTRACT
Stalin considerably reduced the scope of his next planned show trial because of the scandal over the kidnapping of General Miller. He decided that at the trial no mention of the general and of the fabrication of Okhrana documents should be made. The trial was scheduled for the beginning of March 1938. But before it opened several important events took place.
