ABSTRACT
On 13 April 1975 Palestinian gunmen wantonly opened fire at a Sunday church gathering attended by Pierre Gemayel, head of the Phalange party, in the Ayn alRummaneh neighborhood in East Beirut. Three Christians were killed. Later that day Maronite fighters retaliated by attacking a bus killing 28 Palestinians.
