ABSTRACT
The official publication on Moroccan museums disseminated by the Moroccan National Tourist Board in association with the Ministry of Culture is a glossy and attractive pamphlet. On the cover is a Roman mosaic (Figure 1) in which a partly clothed woman reclines suggestively while another partially represented figure wafts soft winds towards her. This visual image of ancient luxury is a fitting choice for the introduction to the text.
