ABSTRACT
The legal dimensions have not been as adequately noted in earlier specialised articles and books as the political and humanitarian dimensions of the clash between the British authorities and the Illegal Jewish Immigration movement. There is abundant mention of the legal issues in the general literature on Zionism and the Palestine Mandate, however, most if not all the relevant issues are here summed up, probably for the first time in layman’s language.
