ABSTRACT
The way in which social honor is distributed in a community between typical groups participating in this distribution we call the “status order.” The social order and the economic order are related in a similar manner to the legal order. However, the economic order merely defi nes the way in which economic goods and services are distributed and used. Of course, the status order is strongly infl uenced by it, and in turn reacts upon it.
