ABSTRACT

Chatting with Francis Ford Coppola is a bit like shooting the breeze with one of the guys from the old neighborhood who became worldly and wildly successful, and returned to his old stomping grounds, but just for a short visit. His conversational language and attitude is approachable. Like so many of the best writers, he has a gift for simplifying complex ideas. And his ideas are complex — big and complex. And so is lunch.
