Krajewski’s Further Plans for Operations to North Africa and Southern France: December 1941–March 1942

Slocum had cogent reasons for visiting Gibraltar early in December 1941.1 Demands for clandestine transport were growing; German defences and controls were increasingly formidable, particularly on the north coast of France and in the Low Countries; attempts to carry out operations by sea from bases in the United Kingdom to these key areas had, in recent months, failed more often than they had succeeded.
