ABSTRACT

During May a consultant astrologer, Peter Clark, issued a press release, which he sent to the Prime Minister. It is evident that she read it, for she corrected the grammar, but it is not clear whether she was perturbed by Clark’s advice that her chart showed she would not enjoy a diplomatic solution or unqualified victory, and could look forward to disarray with her colleagues. Woodward’s chart was bad for the coming weeks and Fieldhouse’s not much better. The reasoning might have been dubious but, as with most such predictions, the gloomy conclusion could well have been reached by other means.
