ABSTRACT
In the project of Pau da Lima different activities gradually emerged as central and were integrated with each other to form a coherent set of interventions, focused on the issue of information-handling for health district management. Among these activities, those which refer to knowledge-building were crucial. A brief description of the process of knowledge-building in Pau da Lima can be useful to introduce this chapter.
