ABSTRACT
When considering the injustice of illiteracy, we should not forget the other injustices that illiterates suffer along with their illiteracy. The illiterate typically lives in a poor developing country where annual income per capita is less than $700, cultural facilities and social services are practically non-existent, living and health conditions are poor, food is scarce and not nutritious, and life-expectancy is short.
