ABSTRACT
Popular media provides situations and scenarios that illustrate wide-spread themes, problems, and perspectives in our culture. In examing these situations and scenarios, one is able to evaluate larger social metaphors. Additionally, these larger social metaphors shape and inform the ways in which we think about our lives and relationships.
