ABSTRACT

From 1992 onwards the littoral states have been carrying on negotiations on the question of the legal status of the Caspian Sea. As a whole they have been useful from the point of view of familiarisation with the approaches of the countries concerned, as well as for understanding the complexity of the problem itself, discovering a possible basis for convergence in pursuit of achieving agreement.
