ABSTRACT
Alcohol problems in society at large are also apparent at the workplace. In industry, they take their toll through absenteeism, accidents, poor performance, and poor leadership. Yet the workplace can provide the ideal setting in which those suffering from alcohol problems can be identified and offered help. Employees must be made aware of the dangers of alcohol abuse and employers must translate alcohol policies into practice.
