ABSTRACT
In this chapter we explore one of the most challenging aspects of designing sustainable forest landscapes: ecosystem restoration. The international Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) defines restoration as “the process of assisting the recovery of an ecosystem that has been degraded, damaged, or destroyed.”
