ABSTRACT

On the other hand, the prevailing building process is beset by many problems. As a result, each of the parties to the building process has developed the process, more or less, but for his own part only, and only from his own needs and views. In other words, the long value-added chain of construction together with the clear-cut roles has led to partial optimisation while none of the parties has been interested in the comprehensive development of the sector. Thus, in spite of the efforts, the problems have resulted in high costs of construction and buildings as well as in end-product quality that does not match the client’s needs.
