ABSTRACT

As discussed in chapter 4, during the interpretive process, the clinician must account for and understand the points of agreement and disagreement suggested by MMPI-2 and Rorschach results. Examination of these relationships may permit the clinician to modify or clarify the meaning of certain data, suggesting, for instance, that an interpretation be moderated in one case and emphasized in another. Thus, test results can be viewed as agreeing with, conflicting with, or complementing one another. The definitions and implications of these relationships are discussed here.
