ABSTRACT
Two overriding considerations dominate the development of urban areas: the gregarious nature of mankind as an animal species, and man’s ability to use technology in an innovative way. In the late twentieth century the advent of information technology both intrigues and frightens us in equal measure. How will urban areas change?
