ABSTRACT
A main aim is to reduce the scale of highly managed grassland, particularly those grass areas which are expensive to maintain due to their character, size and slope. Much of this grassland can be replaced with woodland, to screen and break up the scale of the built-up area. This not only leads to longer-term cost savings, but also greatly improves visual quality.
