ABSTRACT
The next case study is in relation to leisure management contracts. At the start of CCT, very few companies were specializing in leisure management contracts. Many of the big national companies stated publicly that they did not intend to get involved in these new public sector contracts. And they didn’t. A number of leisure management contract companies did start up, however, in response to the supply of these new contracts. Many of these companies started with a few key personnel derived from local authority leisure departments. Over the years many of them have slowly expanded and grown, in a difficult market, to achieve substance and a reputation for the delivery of quality services.
