ABSTRACT
Good window design plays a major role in improving the performance of buildings by increasing the thermal and sound insulation yet admitting the appropriate amount of daylight. This article analyses from an energy, economic and environmental impact point of view a variety of window configurations including use of low emissivity coatings and inert infill gases.
