ABSTRACT
Professionalism has its unacceptable as well as its praiseworthy faces. There is the jealous professionalism that deliberately tries to keep others out of the know; the arrogant professionalism that treats clients as mud; the cliqueish professionalism that is measured by its members’ virtuosity in the use of jargon, and the self-protective professionalism that covers up its own weaknesses or errors.
