The air is ‘lazy’ and always follows the easiest path. It is also fully transparent and airflow patterns are invisible. These may be felt when they are too strong, causing draughts, or smelt when the air drives smelly pollutants at people. This means that the airflow does not necessarily follow expected patterns and it is only noticed when things go wrong.
