ABSTRACT
For as long as the concept of the intelligent building has been around, people have been trying to develop techniques for measuring the level of intelligence that a building exhibits. It was felt that if this was achieved it would be possible to compare buildings anywhere and determine which was the ‘best', the most intelligent building.
