ABSTRACT

The influence that these matters have will change with changing requirements, attitudes and experiences of individuals and national organizations. All contribute to achievement of quality in different ways. In the following pages some of these influences at an organizational level are described in six Member States: Denmark, Federal Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK. The examples show how quality is being achieved through the work of a number of national institutions that make their contributions both individually, and collectively in European and international organizations like CIB, RILEM, ISO and CEN.
