ABSTRACT

Clearly, therefore, when used as a contract document, the specification must describe precisely and unambiguously the quality of materials, workmanship and in some cases the performance of a particular element or component required to be provided. The specification must always be clearly identifiable so that the purpose and the needs of the specifier are immediately comprehensible; the contents must be set out in an organized and orderly way so that the requirements of the specification are immediately understood and priced accordingly by the estimator.
