ABSTRACT
Kicking actions are common to all the football codes. These include free-kicks, drop-kicks and punts. In many contexts of open play there is a choice between drop-kicking and punt-kicking. In games with the round ball this choice applies to all Gaelic football players and to the soccer goalkeeper. These skills also apply to the games with the oval ball.
