ABSTRACT

One of the most important questions that most people involved in football vould like to have answered, is concerned with the evaluation of the physical fitness of the players and their team. In the laboratory the aerobic power (V02 max), ventilatory and blood lactic acid responses to exercise, can be measured as determinants of physical performance. The purpose of this work was to evaluate maximal oxygen uptake, blood lactate and body composition in male elite soccer players.
