ABSTRACT
Why employ a surveyor to look at a property before you buy it? A lot of people just jump in and hope for the best. Why can’t anyone do it? After all, the building society sends someone round. The answer is anyone can, but if I might be permitted, I will relate a short story, the need becomes more obvious.
