ABSTRACT
What are the influences of housing upon health? Certain themes stand out: the influence of housing on physical health; the influence of housing on mental and emotional health; health-related design features of housing; the association of housing and poverty; housing for disadvantaged groups; blurring distinctions between owners and renters; growing public awareness of health issues in housing; and the changing role of public health agencies.
