ABSTRACT
Noise control can be achieved by preventing the generation and spreading of noise. There are two ways by which noise can propagate, i.e. airborne sound which is propagated through air and structure-borne sound which is transmitted through material such as is found in building structures, etc. In this chapter the attenuation of airborne sound is discussed.
